    Vanilla Ninja je dívčí skupina, pocházející z Estonska. Založilo ji roku 2002 kvarteto Lenna Kuurmaa, Katrin Siska, Piret Jarvis a Maarja Kivi. (Tu o dva roky později nahradila Triinu Kivilaan. Triinu se ale v prosinci 2005 vydává na sólovou dráhu a skupina pokračuje ve třech.)

    Jejich debutové album Vanilla Ninja, obsahující písně jak v rodném jazyce, tak v angličtině, se v Estonsku vyšplhalo až na samý vrchol. Po tomto úspěchu se skupina rozhodne zaútočit na německy mluvící země – Rakousko, Německo a Švýcarsko, se singlem „Tough Enough“. Ten se dostává mezi dvacet nejlepších a vysílá ho i populární televizní stanice Viva.

    V červnu 2004 vychází jejich druhá deska Traces of Sadness, která kromě „Tough Enough“ obsahuje například „Don't Go Too Fast“ či „When The Indians Cry“(jejich první baladický song vůbec).

    V listopadu vydávají nový singl „Blue Tattoo“ a poté vyrážejí na turné po Asii. Získávají si nové fanoušky mj. v Japonsku, Číně a Malajsii.
    Březen 2005 je ve znamení písně „I Know“ a alba Blue Tattoo, které vychází o dva týdny později.

    Koncem roku, po neshodách s nahrávací společností Bros Music, Vanilla Ninja přechází k EMI. Pod jejich ochrannými křídly, pracuje na novém, v pořadí již čtvrtém albu. Mezitím se ale na trhu objeví singl „Megamix“ a CD „Best of“, kterou vydalo jejich minulé vydavatelství. Skupina se od singlu i desky distancuje a vzkáže fanouškům, ať je nekupují („Megamix“ i „Best of“ nakonec propadne ve všech zemích).

    V dubnu 2006 vychází singl "Dangerzone", který je o pár týdnů později následován celým albem Love Is War.Následně Vanilla Ninja vydali singl Birds od Peace.Mometálně pracují na svém pátem albu,které by mělo vyjít v průběhu následujícího roku.
