Arriva fresca-fresca la notizia che il nuovo disco a cui
Bruce Springsteen stava lavorando è ormai praticamente
pronto. Si intitolerà “Working on a Dream”, la data di
uscita è annunciata per il 27 gennaio e si conosce già
la tracklist delle canzoni
Del suo nuovo album abbiamo già avuto tre preziosissime
anticipazioni audio, le track “The Wrestler” (colonna
sonora dell’omonimo film), “A Night With the Jersey
Devil” (regalata online per Halloween) e “Working On A
Dream” (suonata prima live per Obama e poi riproposta
nell’intervallo di un incontro di football americano).
Qualcuno teme sia un po’ troppo presto, in fondo
l’ultimo album “Magic” era uscito poco più di un anno
fa. Speriamo in bene.
L’entusiasmo è sicuramente tanto, come si evince dalle
parole usate dal Boss per annunciare questo nuovo lavoro
di inediti:
Verso la fine della registrazione di “Magic”,
eccitato per il ritorno alla produzione di suoni pop, ho
continuato a scrivere. Quando il mio amico produttore
Brendan O’Brien ha sentito le nuove canzoni, ha detto
“vai avanti così!”. Ed è quello cha abbiamo fatto nel
corso dell’anno successivo con la E Street Band, nelle
pause dello scorso tour.
Spero che “Working on a Dream” abbia catturato
l’energia della band, di quello che è stato uno dei più
emozionanti tour che abbiamo mai fatto. Tutte le canzoni
sono state scritte di getto, di solito utilizzato la
prima versione, e tutti noi abbiamo avuto una grande
carica esplosiva dall’inizio alla fine..
Il disco è stato registrato al Southern Tracks di
Atlanta con l’aggiunta di incisioni avvenute a New York,
Los Angeles e nel New Jersey. La produzione è ancora una
volta opera di Brendan O’Brien.
