There was a topic with this name with about 20 pages of Italian music and singers.
After the change of the hoster of this Forum the topic is disappeared.
Now I will try to recreate this topic (unfortunately I don't have a full backup).

Anna Oxa, born 28 April 1961 Bari, is an Italian singer of Albanian descent, well-known through numerous appearances in the Sanremo Music Festival, dating back to 1978. Her entries include "Ti lascero", "Storie" and "Senza pieta", the latter winning in 1999. With Fausto Leali she represented Italy in the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest in Lausanne, finishing in equal ninth place singing "Avrei Voluto".

Bio
Formed at the end of the seventies under the name of "Sagittari" (Pino Di Santo, Ettore Vigo, Mimmo Di Martino, Marcello Reale) later jioned by Ivano Fossati in 1970. In 1971 the band presents their first album "dolce acqua" which offers an atmosphere based on a soft acoustic sound mixed with soft rock and a touch of jazz, enriched by Fossati's flute creating a sort of latin version of the more famous Jethro Tull. The popularity of the band took a giant step in 1972 by appearing at the Sanremo song festival with the song "Jesahel" soon becoming a number 1 seller with over a million copies sold.

Irene Grandi (born December 6, 1969) is an Italian singer born in Florence.
She debuted in the Sanremo Music Festival in the category New Proposed with "Fuori", in 1994.
Her first album, Irene Grandi, contained songs written with Eros Ramazzotti ("Sposati subito") and Jovanotti ("T.V.B."). In 1995, her second album, In vacanza da una vita, was released. It contained such songs as "In vacanza da una vita" and "Bum bum". These albums were followed up by Se mi vuoi, Per fare l'amore, Buon compleanno, and Prima di partire per un lungo viaggio.
In 2000, she placed second in the Sanremo Music Festival with a song written together with Vasco Rossi.
She performed lead vocals on the song "Blue", the closing track on French producer Hector Zazou's 2003 album Strong Currents.

Ivan Graziani (Teramo, October 6th 1945. Novafeltria, January 1th 1997) has been a singer songwriter and Italian guitarist.
Often held a charismatic puller, He loved to perform above all on the stage. He liked a lot to perform live and he has kept on holding concerts, even if tired and sick, up to few weeks before dying.
His songs are characterized by an intense use of the melody and by an atypical stamp of voice, often in falsetto. One of the preferred themes of Ivan Graziani were the descriptions of the women that he had met (or dreamt) in his life.

Raffaele Celeste "Nini" Rosso (19 September 1926 - 5 October 1994) was an Italian jazz trumpeter and composer.
Born in Turin, at 19 he chose the trumpet over academia, and left home. After his employment in a nightclub was terminated by the police, he returned home, but soon after departed again to relaunch his career. He soon became one of the best-known jazz trumpeters in Italy, reaching the crest of his popularity in the 1960s. He became known in the UK in 1962 when his recording of "Concerto Disperato" was covered by Ken Thorne and his Orchestra and became a hit under the title "The Theme from 'The Legion's Last Patrol'". Rosso's original was quickly released on the little-known Durium label and also made the charts, but was less successful than the bland cover version. His 1965 worldwide hit "Il Silenzio" went to #1 in Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and sold over ten million copies. He also acted in the 1960s.

Simone Cristicchi (born February 5, 1977 in Rome) is an Italian singer and composer.
In march 2007, Simone won the 57th edition of the Sanremo music festival. His song "Ti regalerò una rosa" won due to extremley high marks received from the festival staff (96/100) and popular vote. The lyrics to the song are taken from papers he found that were written by a man who was in a mental hospital for most of his life. It is a sad tale of the man's struggle with being away from the woman he loves and being exiled for being mentally ill. The song has so far reached number 3 on the official Italian charts and number 1 one the official downloads chart going to became Cristicchi's most successful song to date in the country. (Wikipedia)

Bio
Mino REITANO, born to Fiumara (RC). For eight years it studies to the conservatory of Reggio Calabria.
Young he emigrates in Germany and, in Hamburg, exhibits on the same stage together with the Beatles!
In the '66 participate to Castrocaro and in the '67 to the Festival of Sanremo. In 1968 he reaches the first place of the Italian Hit Parade with "Avevo un cuore che ti amava tanto".
From the that moment begins all over the world the scaling toward the success with recognitions of every kind, gold disks and tour. For eight years he participates in Canzonissima, the most important television melodious demonstration of the years 70, always coming in final and classifying himself to the first places.
In 1988 he returns to the Festival of Sanremo with the song "Italia" and, always to Sanremo in the '90, introduce "Vorrei"; they follow shares to other television shows and, in the '91, still to Sanremo with "Ma ti sei chiesto mai"
From the '93 in then tour in USA, Canada, Australia and in other countries of the world.
