2007 four CD boxset containing the best in modern Lounge Music. From easy listening to eclectic soundscapes, this collection touches on everything that makes Lounge Music the wonderful, quirky, soothing and passionate thing that it is. Lounge Music was born in classy, stylish rooms in Las Vegas and grew to become one of the most popular genres of the '60s (although much of it was classified as Easy Listening at the time). Lounge Music was largely dismissed and forgotten after the 60's yet made a huge comeback in the late 90's. Original, easy-going and so charming, modern Lounge Music uses similar old-style beats originally found in Jazz, Mambo, Bossa Nova, Funk or Swing genres and mixes in top notch Electronic sounds (Nu-Jazz, Deep House and Ambient), adding an old-school croon to top things off. 60 tracks including cuts from Thievery Corporation, Jazzanova, Bebel Gilberto, Nightmares On Wax, Kid Loco and many more Wagram. 2007.
